Why a Wiki?
- This is one way that LSO can communicate and not tie up other resources.
- We should become familiar with this new technology.
- It's an easy way to post information and learn HTML at the same time.
- PBwiki seemed like the fastest method to start a wiki, without the limitations of having too many users.
- Other Wikis such as jotspot and seedwiki limit free accounts to 5 users. I think this one can have many users without additional cost. Although, it limits us to only 10MB of information.
- A drawback to this wiki is that you have to enter information using html type commands. But thankfully, there's a nice guide to follow: Wiki Style This is also available above the editing box, when you decide to edit.
- Pbwiki allows you to check your work with a preview, just don't forget to update the page when you are satisfied.
